On Monday, July 6 at 2:00pm, PICS will be hosting a virtual seminar featuring an alumni of the Vojvodic lab. Kurt Frederickson, PhD, will speak about his education and working in both academia and the private sector. After his talk Kurt will be available to answer any questions students may have. Kurt Fredrickson received his B.S. in Physics from the University of California, Davis, in 2009, and his PhD in Physics from the University of Texas at Austin, in 2015, under the supervision of Professor Alex Demkov. He was a postdoctoral fellowship in Chemical Engineering at Stanford University and SLAC National Laboratory under the supervision of Professor Jens Nørskov and at the University of Pennsylvania under the supervision of Associate Professor Aleksandra Vojvodic from 2015-2017. From 2017-2018 he was a computational chemist at Applied Materials in Santa Clara, CA. Since 2018, he has been a patent agent at Patterson + Sheridan, LLP, in San Jose, CA.
