How do I find my Penn ID number?

Penn uses Penn ID’s and Penn cards as a way to identify students. First, make sure you have set up your Penn email and Penn key. More information on the incoming student checklist can be found here. You will need to stop by the Penn Card center in the Penn Bookstore at 3601 Walnut Street on the 2nd floor to pick up your physical Penn Card. This card lets you into buildings on campus. Below your name you will find three sets of numbers in the format of 6 digits, then 8 digits, then 2 digits. The slightly larger 8 digit number is your Penn ID. The 2 digits following it is the number of times your Penn Card has been issued. For example, if you lose your Penn card once and get a new one, that two digit number will change from “00” to “01.”
