Is there somewhere I can connect with other SCMP students?

Yes! We encourage students to join the SCMP Slack and connect with other students through there. In addition, since SCMP is under PICS (the Penn Institute for Computational Science), we encourage students to attend PICS events such as the colloquia, workshops, and occasional other events. We also have weekly SCMP Study Sessions currently held on Mondays from 4 PM to 6 PM in PICS 534. Please email jnespos@seas.upenn.edu if you need access to the Slack.
